1c Setting Instructional Outcomes

Clear instructional outcomes are necessary for designing cohesive, effective lessons and establishing expectations of what students what will achieve daily. Below is an example of a content and language objective for a lesson on Alvin Ailey's "Revelations."

Content Objective: Students will be able to analyze Alvin Ailey’s “Revelations” through three lenses, by contributing the class padlet.

Language Objective: Students will be able to describe Alvin Ailey’s “Revelations” using LMA vocabulary in discussion.
