4f Acting in Service of Students

Aside from teaching, working in education involves being an advocate, resource, and reliable figure for students. In my time studying at Rutgers University, for both undergraduate and graduate school, I learned how to act in service of students through participation in the Mason Gross Student Governing Association (President and Treasurer) and the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (Publicist). In those roles, I worked on improving the culture and practices of both communities to create an environment where students felt seen and support. I've also volunteered at various events in New Jersey for dance students, at both the high school and collegiate level.
